To All our Occupy Ocala Supporters. And Friends: From our beginnings in September of 2011 our Occupy Movement has been Rallying and meeting and evolving. We are and remain Non-Political as we all feel we need a real change in our indecisive politics, excessive influence by large corporate lobbyists, greed causing the disruption in the standard of living for the 99% and the shift of money to only 1% of our population.

There are some who are afraid of the Occupy movements including our own Occupy Ocala. We have been infiltrated – Our Web site has been hacked into - Misinformation rumors and lies have been planted about the Occupy movements.

We have managed to overcome all of this. Our web site Occupyocala.com is now up and running and we have a core group of supporters that are now stronger than ever. We have no one leader. We all work in unison and will support any group that coincides with the Occupy movements “Basic Original Views.”on our web site.

In addition to the minutes below we have now started Occupy Ocala “Seeds To Soup” Organic vegetable garden where we will be growing for 3 seasons vegetables with a drip irrigation and natural mulch. We will give freely these vegetables to the Homeless and Needy as well as to those of Occupy Ocala that maintain the vegetable garden. We also have other plans in the works to expand Occupy Ocala. We are donating our own monies to do all this. All we ask of you if you are able to give us your support, join us at our Rallies every Saturday starting at 9.30 AM or later at the Downtown Square, in Ocala. We have extra signs. In Numbers we have Strength.

Basic Original Views of the Occupy Movements

As we gather together in solidarity to express a feeling of mass injustice, we must not lose sight of what brought us together.We write so that all people who feel wronged by the corporate forces of the world can know that we are your allies. As one people, united, we acknowledge the reality: that the future of the human race requires the cooperation of its members; that our system must protect our rights, and upon corruption of that system, it is up to the individuals to protect their own rights, and those of their neighbors; that a democratic government derives its just power from the people, but corporations do not seek consent to extract wealth from the people and the Earth; and that no true democracy is attainable when the process is determined by economic power. We come to you at a time when corporations, which place profit over people, self-interest over justice, and oppression over equality, run our governments. We have peaceably assembled here, as is our right, to let these facts be known.

We are the 99%- We are not Democrats, Republicans etc– We are all Americans

They the Bank’s, large Corporations and Wall Street have taken bailouts from taxpayers with impunity, and continue to give Executives exorbitant bonuses.

They have taken our jobs away from us causing unemployment and homelessness

They have taken our houses through an illegal foreclosure process, despite not having the original mortgage. They have perpetuated inequality and discrimination in the workplace based on age, the color of one’s skin, sex, gender identity and sexual orientation. They have poisoned the food supply through negligence, and undermined the farming system through monopolization. They have profited off of the torture, confinement, and cruel treatment of countless nonhuman animals, and actively hide these practices. They have continuously sought to strip employees of the right to negotiate for better pay and safer working conditions. They have held student’s hostage with tens of thousands of dollars of debt on education, which is itself a human right. They have consistently outsourced labor and used that outsourcing as leverage to cut workers’ healthcare and pay. They have influenced the courts to achieve the same rights as people, with none of the culpability or responsibility. They have spent millions of dollars on legal teams that look for ways to get them out of contracts in regards to health insurance. They have sold our privacy as a commodity.

They have donated large sums of money to politicians supposed to be regulating them. They continue to block alternate forms of energy to keep us dependent on oil. They continue to block generic forms of medicine that could save people’s lives in order to protect investments that have already turned a substantive profit.

They purposefully keep people misinformed and fearful through their control of the media.

APATHY-FEAR - DISSENSION & MISTRUST - WE ACCUSE

The above has been going on from Time Immemorial. Apathy, Fear, Dissention and mistrust are now playing a prominent part in both our American Politics and with the individual. We should have learned our history from our past but apparently we have not.

Before, during and after the start of World War 2 Adolph Hitler and his propaganda ministry under Joseph Goebbels retained power by the means of Apathy, Fear, Dissention and mistrust to wreck enormous havoc against specific minorities as well as on the rest of the World.

Today in America and throughout the world we are all facing similar problems. Politics in America as well as in many other countries are run by those with the most money using it for their own power and ideology to spread lies and mistrust against any one on the opposite side purely for their own selfish means. The wealth of the world has now spread to only to about a 1% of the 99% of the people. No wonder we have such uproar by the common people and the Occupy Movements. This is not a case of Class warfare (as some would have us believe) it is only a cry from many for a fairer distribution of the wealth without it being having the monies controls our politics, food we eat and our lives.

All of above has led to enormous division throughout America and the World. Where many politicians have fallen in stature due to greed and money, the people they are to represent have suffered, high costs of food and medical care as well as lack of jobs. In addition our elected officials are being supplied with enormous amounts of monies from lobbyists representing the wealth of the largest Corporations etc.

With the great majority of our money going to those at the top we can easily see now who is controlling the lives of the majority and who controls our politicians. Try running for Congress with out the backing of a vast money supply for ads on TV, Media, etc?

For Years now due to the above, small groups have emerged attempting to fight these excesses to avail. All of us have seen the results of these divisions with the numerous groups all in their own way, through the mail; petitions rally etc. all promoting change. Each organization has there own agenda not willing to relinquish there power or ego to sit down together to compromise and agree to combine their various groups into one.

Only In numbers we can have a unified voice. Divided we are only one of many voices diluted and only heard by their own group.

Except for the poor and homeless it appears the rest of America have forgotten or have not been suffered enough or realize what is happening.

The 99% have to demand that real change. Until that time comes many of us will stay complacent or wander in our present stage of apathy, fear, dissension and mistrust looking for an answer?
